The Grove is conceived as a series of horizontal planes carefully set into the natural slope of the site. Rather than treating the house as a single object, the architecture is broken down into overlapping volumes and cantilevered terraces that follow the contours of the landscape.

Large projecting slabs define the primary living spaces and create generous outdoor platforms beneath the upper level. The structure is expressed through the relationship between these planes, with deep timber-lined soffits giving weight and warmth to the otherwise restrained palette.

The house is immersed in indigenous planting, with the landscape deliberately allowed to run beneath and around the architecture. Glazed openings are positioned between the solid elements to frame specific views, while the roofscape introduces a series of sheltered terraces and planted edges.
