Founded and led by Design Director Tommy Joyce and architect Nico Wessels, Studiovision is an independent design studio creating sculptural contemporary residences of distinction.

Defined by layered volumes, restrained material palettes and expressive architectural forms, the studio creates homes shaped by a rigorous consideration of proportion, materiality, light and context.

Based in Knysna on South Africa’s Garden Route, Studiovision works across South Africa and internationally, undertaking a deliberately limited number of residential commissions each year. This allows the studio to remain closely involved in every project, giving each residence the attention, design development and detail it demands.

Studiovision’s work has been recognised locally and internationally, with projects featured in leading lifestyle and architectural design magazines, television programmes and prominent design platforms.

Whether created for a private client, developer or as a high-value residential investment, each project is approached as a singular architectural proposition – rooted in its setting and considered in every detail.

The studio believes that the most compelling architecture does not need to announce itself. Strong gestures are tempered by restraint; dramatic forms by calm, considered interiors; and material choices reduced to those that genuinely contribute to the experience of the home.
