Morning Tide House is positioned to capture the eastern morning sun and the ever-changing ocean beyond Pinnacle Point Golf Estate in Mossel Bay. Set above a natural valley, the house looks towards the white water breaking along the coastline, with the architecture opening deliberately towards this outlook.

Deep overhangs frame the views and provide protection from the sun, while high-performance glazing allows the interior spaces to remain closely connected to the landscape. A restrained material palette, combined with timber-clad ceilings, brings warmth to the interiors and contrasts with the stronger architectural forms.

The main living spaces extend onto a large elevated patio, conceived as an extension of the house rather than a separate outdoor space. A rim-flow pool and gas fire pit anchor the terrace, creating a simple outdoor setting from which to experience the changing light, ocean and landscape.
