This striking new residence within the Pinnacle Point of Mossel Bay, South Africa, showcases the bold architectural vision synonymous with Studiovision Architects.

Spanning an impressive 850m2, the home comprises two large geometric volumes seamlessly intertwined by dynamically shaped angles and beams.

Prominently featured are large down stand beams, serving not only as structural supports but also as pivotal design elements driving the client’s wish for a dramatic and brutalist aesthetic. External walls are clad with large granite tiles, further adding to the robust feel of the structure.

Careful consideration was given to the natural rock formation topography, ensuring adherence to an 8.5m height restriction while preserving the integrity of the earth below, avoiding any intrusion into the solid mass.

Currently in the construction phase, the residence already exhibits its distinctive features, with strong horizontal lines and vertical beams elegantly containing the internal spaces and framing the beautiful ocean views beyond.
