Bold cantilevered volumes, sculptural off-shutter concrete and carefully articulated vertical elements define the architectural character of Fynbos House.

Designed around the steep coastal dune within Sandpiper Eco Estate, the residence takes advantage of its elevated position overlooking Myoli Beach, Gericke’s Point and the expansive white sandy coastline of Sedgefield.

Despite its dramatic architectural expression, the home is planned around the simplicity of single-storey living, with the main living spaces arranged on one level. Generous glazing, sheltered outdoor spaces and carefully framed views establish a strong connection between the interior and its coastal setting.

The interplay of solid concrete forms, recessed glazing and refined detailing gives the residence a distinctive sculptural identity while responding to the natural contours of the site.
