Completed in 2023 within Oubaai Golf Estate near George, this contemporary residence is defined by clean architectural lines, careful proportions and a restrained material palette. The project was also featured on the television show Top Billing, with lead designer Tommy Joyce interviewed on site. After dark, subtle LED lighting accentuates the perforated aluminium screens, while the interiors are enriched by a curated collection of imported furnishings selected by the owners.

Though arranged over two levels, the home lives primarily as a single-storey residence. Upstairs holds the principal living spaces, main bedroom suite, garages and service areas, allowing everyday life to unfold on one level. The lower floor settles quietly into the site’s natural topography, housing guest accommodation, staff quarters and a bespoke home theatre — its centrepiece a striking Marilyn Monroe mosaic, assembled from roughly 90,000 individual tiles.

Sustainability runs throughout the design: advanced energy and water systems allow the residence to operate off-grid whenever required, proof that high-performance environmental design can sit comfortably within contemporary luxury.
